The moon landings were not faked. See link for more information and further links to arguments on both sides. Every piece of "evidence" to support the hoax theory has been refuted in detail. Some examples:

CLAIM: There were no stars in the pictures taken from the moon, even though they should be visible in daylight due to the moon’s lack of an atmosphere.
FACT: The cameras were set for proper exposures in daylight, and so the stars were underexposed. Take any camera set for daylight and try to take pictures of the stars. They won’t show up.

CLAIM: The American flag planted on the moon appears to wave in the breeze, which is impossible in a vacuum.
FACT: When the flag was planted on the moon, the pole had to be wiggled a bit for it to stick, causing the flag to flap. There was also a wire threaded through the top of the flag so it would stand away from the pole.

CLAIM: The same background appears in multiple pictures with different foregrounds. It must have been a movie set.
FACT: The background was miles away from the lander, so moving the camera a few yards will change the foreground much more than the background.

Perhaps a few images and movies from the landings will help…

Yes, they did, as did 10 more astronauts in five later voyages.

The six Apollo Moon landings are among the best documented events in human history: thousands of pictures, hours of video, nearly half a ton of Moon rocks, and millions of eye witnesses, including myself. There is not a single scientist in the world who doubts that they took place. To deny them is to discredit the magnificent achievement of the team which went to the Moon, and to reveal abysmal scientific ignorance.

The proofs of the Moon landings have been documented in detail on web sites like these:

You heard from someone who doesn’t know what the hell they’re talking about.

NASA landed 12 men on the Moon on six missions from 1969 to 1972. Even the Soviet space program, NASA’s biggest competitor at the time, admitted the missions were genuine.

You can’t fake radio transmissions from the Moon, nor the retroreflectors left on the surface which are still visible today with a sufficiently powerful laser/telescope combo.

  • Grigori Rasputin:

Yeah, I’m pretty sure they did.

  • Adam:

It would have been easier to put a man on the moon than to fake all the moon landings without anyone finding out.

No one doubted the landings in the generation of the landings… only now with people that weren’t alive to experience it are they debated. They were not fake.

  • brocker1966:

    Yes

  • campbelp2002:

    Yes they really did.

And Buzz Aldrin REALLY does not like people calling him a liar about it either. Google "buzz aldrin punch" and see what I mean.

I saw them land on tv and I saw the rocket that took them there. Why spend so much money to try to fool the public? Do you believe there are nuclear bombs all over the planet sitting there waiting for someone to fire them off? We had lots of cash and big aspirations back then.
